I would like to give my badge to David Payne, my boyfriend. Sometimes I forget to tell him just how much he means to me and how I truly admire and respect him for all that he does. The next few months are going to be a bit challenging for him, and I give him this badge so he knows he is loved, will be missed and is always on my mind

Jenny Sapp has been my V.I.P. for a long time. She married my husband's cousin, Stan, and quickly found a parking space in my heart. She deserves this because she has a strong faith in God, is the mother of two great boys (who she was raising alone before she met Stan), dearly loves her family, has a heart of gold and puts others before herself. I can talk to her about anything. Last year she listened to my heartaching and devastating issues and pointed me to a solution that she and her family had discovered. I thank God for giving me that conversation with Jenny. That conversation was the catalyst to saving my family. Also,Jenny is one person in the entire world that I can laugh as hard as I want to with. She is like my Savannah kindred spirit and I love her.Shannon

I am giving this V.I.P. badge to my mother-in-law, Anne Sapp. She has always treated me like part of the family from the moment we met 15 years ago Thanksgiving Day. That is one reason why today is a good day to honor her with this. She is strong in faith, full of love, fun and weathers all of the storms that life throws at her with her flag of integrety in tact. She in so many ways has/is/has lived/living/lived the mirror image of my life. She is a great support to me and I love that she is always there for me. I could not have asked for a better mother-in-law. Shannon

Michelle Weeks is my V.I.P. even though she is an Auburn fan. Michelle is my sister-in-law. I won the sister-in-law lottery when I married my husband, Matt. Michelle is a total package; she is grounded with a strong Christian faith, smart (a nurse), funny, fun, a good wife to Mike and mother to Harrison and Allie AND she is as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside. She has an understanding and ever so aware heart. She lets you know that she is there if you need her, yet, does not want to intrude. She is a great support. Michelle has always made the holidays special, which is especially important to a girl who grew up with a festive family. So, when we alternate our family holidays, I always feel like I'm Home for the Holidays. Thanks and I love you! Shannon

Corey was very helpful and considerate to our entire squadron. Even though we were closing down and shortly moving out of Iraq, she helped us out with repairs to our facilities. Even though she was on the other side of the base, when our repair persons would not fix the locks on the doors or help us with new lights, we could always count on Corey to come right over and help us out.

I am passing my VIP badge to Elisa Morris. It's very appropriate because we just sang Happy Birthday to her this morning. Matt and I are blessed to have her as our Office Manager. She is a fantastic presentative for our company, she is revered by co-workers and our customers love her. Not only has she been a valuable asset to our company, she has been like family for the past almost 9 years. She has been there through the up and downs-the good, bad and ugly! She is good, strong (stronger than she gives herself credit for being) and full of natural God giv'n JOY! She has been my rock and I thank GOD that he placed her in my life. She is like an angel here on earth. That is why she is my V.I.P. Ilove you ,Elisa. Shannon

The Starfish Story
adapted from The Star Throwerby Loren Eiseley (1907 - 1977)
Once upon a time, there was a wise man who used to go to the ocean to do his writing. He had a habit of walking on the beach before he began his work. One day, as he was walking along the shore, he looked down the beach and saw a human figure moving like a dancer. He smiled to himself at the thought of someone who would dance to the day, and so, he walked faster to catch up.As he got closer, he noticed that the figure was that of a young man, and that what he was doing was not dancing at all. The young man was reaching down to the shore, picking up small objects, and throwing them into the ocean. He came closer still and called out "Good morning! May I ask what it is that you are doing?"The young man paused, looked up, and replied "Throwing starfish into the ocean.""I must ask, then, why are you throwing starfish into the ocean?" asked the somewhat startled wise man.To this, the young man replied, "The sun is up and the tide is going out. If I don't throw them in, they'll die."Upon hearing this, the wise man commented, "But, young man, do you not realize that there are miles and miles of beach and there are starfish all along every mile? You can't possibly make a difference!"At this, the young man bent down, picked up yet another starfish, and threw it into the ocean. As it met the water, he said, "It made a difference for that one."

This badge is for my son, William Walker. He has had a rough couple years in school, struggling through math and science. I wanted to let him how important he is to me, and that he has an incredible amount of talent, capable of accomplishing anything that he sets his mind to. I look at him and see the boy who is a natural actor and dancer, who is athletic, charismatic and with a smile bigger than his face. I don't see the boy who struggles through school, but the boy who can make others laugh and have fun no matter the place or endeavor. I see the boy who is ready to be a young man who has to find out what he wants in life, but who is truly capable of attaining what he wants. I see my son, who despite what some may call character flaws, I call his character, a son who deserve the recognition for his acheivements, a son who deserves an applause for his performance, a son who needs a well deserved thank you for lighting the room with his smile, a son who has made me proud, and son whom I love very much, but never tell him enough how much I do love him. I look forward to seeing and being part of his life accomplishments. I just wanted to let William know how important he is in my life and that love him.

Feel good story vipaskmewhy.com

Not Too Busy for friends and family One day a teacher asked her students to list the names of the other students in the room on two sheets of paper, leaving a space between each name.
Then she told them to think of the nicest thing they could say about each of their classmates and write it down. It took the remainder of the class period to finish their assignment, and as the students left the room, each one handed in the papers. That Saturday, the teacher wrote down the name of each student on a separate sheet of paper, and listed what everyone else had said about that individual. On Monday she gave each student his or her list. Before long, the entire class was smiling. 'Really?' she heard whispered. 'I never knew that I meant anything to anyone!' and, 'I didn't know others liked me so much,' were most of the comments. No one ever mentioned those papers in class again.. She never knew if they discussed them after class or with their parents, but it didn't matter. The exercise had accomplished its purpose. The students were happy with themselves and one another. That group of students moved on.
Several years later, one of the students was killed inVietNam and his teacher attended the funeral of that special student. She had never seen a serviceman in a military coffin before. He looked so handsome, so mature.
The church was packed with his friends. One by one those who loved him took a last walk by the coffin. The teacher was the last one to bless the coffin. As she stood there, one of the soldiers who acted as pallbearer came up to her. 'Were you Mark's math teacher?' he asked. She nodded: 'yes.' Then he said: 'Mark talked about you a lot.' After the funeral, most of Mark's former classmates went together to a luncheon. Mark's mother and father were there, obviously waiting to speak with his teacher. 'We want to show you something,' his father said, taking a wallet out of his pocket 'They found this on Mark when he was killed. We thought you might recognize it.' Opening the billfold, he carefully removed two worn pieces of notebook paper that had obviously been taped, folded and refolded many times. The teacher knew without looking that the papers were the ones on which she had listed all the good things each of Mark's classmates had said about him.
'Thank you so much for doing that,' Mark's mother said. 'As you can see, Mark treasured it.'
All of Mark's former classmates started to gather around. Charlie smiled rather sheepishly and said, 'I still have my list. It's in the top drawer of my desk at home.' Chuck's wife said, 'Chuck asked me to put his in our wedding album.' 'I have mine too,' Marilyn said. 'It's in my diary' Then Vicki, another classmate, reached into her pocketbook, took out her wallet and showed her worn and frazzled list to the group. 'I carry this with me at all times,' Vicki said and without batting an eyelash, she continued: 'I think we all saved our lists' That's when the teacher finally sat down and cried. She cried for Mark and for all his friends who would never see him again. The density of people in society is so thick that we forget that life will end one day. And we don't know when that one day will be. So please, tell the people you love and care for, that they are special and important. Tell them, before it is too late. And One Way To Accomplish This Is: VIPASKMEWHY.COM

husband giving vip to his wife

/7/2008
Florida
To my loving Wife Cindy, I have chosen you as my V.I.P… Why? Well we have been through VERY different, difficult, tough and trying times, I guess you can say, â€Å“We have been tested”. I remember back in the day standing at your doorstep weeping about events I was going through and you helped me through them and here we are year’s later standing as a unified couple tackling them together. You have been there for me to cry with in my bad times, laugh with in the good times and you were there for the crazy things we have done in the middle (Star TrekïÅ , Camping). My time in the military was something you didn’t know much about, it was new to you, and you endured – â€Å“Good Job”. Then there is the family we have together – Yours – Mine – and ours â€Å“WOW”!!!! These little people have kept us hopping!!! Your plan to stay home and take care of the home front was something bigger than even you had imagined, but it doesn’t go unseen or unappreciated. You are my V.I.P because you have kept it together and taken care of the home while I am away, or at home. Nobody but the few â€Å“Domestic Engineers” knows what a feat like that is, plus being a stepmom AND a mother are BOTH the most demanding tasks, which comes with little to no thanks. The meals which can’t make everyone happy, the trips to and from school for this or that, laundry, Laundry, LAUNDRY and then the house cleaning – really this doesn’t go unseen (even though you think it does), so with the above said: This is a THANK YOU – an international, web searchable, public THANK YOU for all to see, for taking care of the children you married into, the children you brought and the beautiful little one we have together, the things you do for all of us and the honor of being able to call you my wife, my friend and my V.I.P!!!! Love Jeff

She spends endless hours and physical labor gathering good, name brand used clothing... setting it up in donated spaces... and running a sale where they are all sold for $2 helping those who need clothes and may not be able to afford it but the main purpose is to donate the money to Head Start Arts who has been able to fund projects to help many children in the area due to Pat's outstanding efforts. She has done this time and time again, each time with outstanding enthusiasm and joy. Pat is a true V.I.P. and an outstanding role model for us all!

Dear Jen and Sherri, I just wanted to tell you both that I really appreciate you guys not only as my boss, but as new friends. I have to say this is by far the best job I have ever had. The reason being is you really seem to care about your employees not only in the work area but outside of it as well. Most bosses are nice but don't open up and are not that genuine and sincere. I have really enjoyed doing these weddings so far; it's funny, when I get up every day I'm not depressed about going to work. I really look forward to it. And no, I'm not by any means trying to "suck up", I just wanted to express my gratitude. Thanks so much for all the talks Jen and letting become a part of the family. Love, Chelsea

Not only is this VIP badge being presented to my wonderful wife Torrie but also my first combat award, my Combat Action Badge. I received this award for engaging and being engaged by the enemy. The true reason I was able to earn this award is because of Torrie's unwavering love and support. She has been serving on the "front lines" at home during my deployment to Afghanistan with little or no support. She is the one and only reason that I have been able to focus on my mission here and do what I can to keep myself, my fellow aviators, and our ground forces safe. She is my unsung hero and has been 100 times the wife and partner that I deserve. While others here are distracted by events at home, I have been able to remian focused because I know just how much Torrie and I love each other and that she would never leave my side in any respect. Torrie may not fit the typical "Military Spouse" mold. In fact, I say that she redefines that mold and sets a new standard that other spouses should strive to follow. I love her more than anyone in this world. This is just one small token to represent the pivotal role she plays in my life. I would be lost without her. I love her more than life itself.

CW3 Matthew Longanacre deserves this VIP pin more than anyone I know. He enlisted into the Army at 17 and his determination & ability to succeed is remarkable. He has been on a 16 year career path that has led him to outstanding achievements. He is currently deployed to Afghanistar flying the Apache 64D. His sacrifice is unwavering. He as always set his goals high and has managed to reach every single one of those goals with extreme discipline and love of his country. It amazes mny how one can put their life on the line every single day for our freedom, so many are not appreciated, but he is one that is much appreciated of all that he does for our country and he is so proud to serve. He has lost some very dear friends who were brothers in arms, and in fight. He still knows the taks at hand, and puts his helmet on everyday and gets in his aircraft to begin another day or night of long flights. He continues to set high goals. He has been accepted to assess to fly for the prestigious 160th Special Forces. We have no doubt he will succeed in this new chapter. He is committed and will never back down from anything. When you think of a great soldier, pilot, and man, his name should come to mind. He is one of the most trustworty, ethical and moralistic young men that I know and I am proud to have him as my son-in-law. Sherry S
