Here begins the journey of Badge 000199 and it begins with a very important person in my life, my dad, Ric Hunter. Dad, you have always been a source of support by always having a positive and optimistic perspective and I want to thank you for that. I do not think there is an issue that you cannot offer a helpful word about. You might think that you could have spent more time with me growing up or done this or that differently, but I want you to know that I have always felt loved and taken care of. We both have changed and have grown closer over the past few years to which I am grateful for. I feel like we have learned a lot about each other. Not only have you been a great dad, you have forever been my hero for your dedication to this wonderful country. After serving decades in the Air Force flying jets and retiring as a Colonel, you just could not stay away! You sacrificed your “freedom” and joined the Civil Service to help the war efforts. I am proud of you and I love that you followed your dreams. You are an extraordinary influence and deserve acknowledgment for it. This badge has a tribute to you… it will forever display your bird of choice, an F-15, in the upper left corner to guide its way to many more VIP’s. Let’s keep it going! I love you, Shaina
